How-To: Delete cells using the keyboard - OpenOffice.org Calc
  1. To delete cells using the keyboard, first you must select the cells to be deleted.
  2. To do this, move your mouse over one of the cells and click and hold the left mouse button.
  3. Next, while holding the button move your mouse through the other cells to be deleted.
  4. Just release the mouse button once you are finished selecting. Afterwards press the "delete" key (del) to delete the cells.
  5. The delete contents window should open.
  6. Click on the checkbox for "Delete all" to erase everything in this cell.
  7. Afterwards click on "OK."
  8. Great! The all the cell's contents has been deleted.
