How-To: Enable Help Tops - OpenOffice.org Calc
- To enable "Help Tips" click on the "Tools"menu.
- Select the "Options..." item from the menu.
- The "Options" dialog appears.
- Open the "OpenOffice.org" node in the options tree.
- Select the "General" node.
- In the "Help" section, mark the "Tips" checkbox.
- To confirm the changes, click the "OK" button.
- To verify the change, hover for about 1 secod over any button in a toolbar.
- The "Help Tip" will appear below the cursor, describing briefly the action of this button.
- Hovering over a cell in the spreadsheet that has an attached note, will display the note.
