How-To: Insert the filename into the page header - OpenOffice.org Calc
- This screencast demonstrates how to add the filename of the document to the page header of a spreadsheet.
- In this example we are viewing the document in the print or "Page Preview" mode to easily demonstrate what is happening.
- You can access the page preview mode by clicking on this icon here.
- Now to start, once you are in the page preview mode, click here on the "Format Page" button.
- Afterwards, the page style window should appear. Look for the "Header" tab here and click on it once.
- Then, click here on "Edit."
- The header window should open.
- You should see three main fields, representing the left, center and right area of the header respectively.
- Now, click on the area where you want to add the filename. For this example we are clicking here on the center area and erasing its present content.
- Next, to add the filename, look for this icon here. Clicking on it should insert the filename of the current document.
- Great! The document's filename has now been inserted.
- Once you're done, just click here on "OK"
- Then, on the page style window, click on "OK" as well.
- Good. Now if we zoom in to look at the document closely...
- ...you should see the filename of the document appear at the header. Congratulations!
