How-To: Insert new cells - OpenOffice.org Calc
- To insert cells first you must choose a location for them by selecting exisiting cells.
- Please take note that the number of the cells selected will always be equal to the number of cells that will be inserted.
- Now, select cells by clicking and holding the left mouse button on one of the cells and then moving your mouse towards the others.
- Once you have selected all the cells you need, just release the mouse button.
- Next, click here on "Insert"
- Then, on the menu that opens click on "Cells..."
- Afterwards, the insert cells window should open. This window lets you choose where the selected cells will move to accomadate the new cells that will be inserted.
- In this example we are choosing the option "Shift cells down." Just click on it once.
- Afterwards just press OK.
- Great! As you can see two new cells have been inserted.
- Also, notice that the cells we selected have now shifted downwards.
