Insert new cells - OpenOffice.org Calc

How-To: Insert new cells - OpenOffice.org Calc
  1. To insert cells first you must choose a location for them by selecting exisiting cells.
  2. Please take note that the number of the cells selected will always be equal to the number of cells that will be inserted.
  3. Now, select cells by clicking and holding the left mouse button on one of the cells and then moving your mouse towards the others.
  4. Once you have selected all the cells you need, just release the mouse button.
  5. Next, click here on "Insert"
  6. Then, on the menu that opens click on "Cells..."
  7. Afterwards, the insert cells window should open. This window lets you choose where the selected cells will move to accomadate the new cells that will be inserted.
  8. In this example we are choosing the option "Shift cells down." Just click on it once.
  9. Afterwards just press OK.
  10. Great! As you can see two new cells have been inserted.
  11. Also, notice that the cells we selected have now shifted downwards.
  12. Great! You have learned how to insert cells.
