How-To: Insert an object name for a chart - OpenOffice.org Calc
- You can assign a chart with an object name. This will make it easier to find, especially when using the navigator.
- To do this you must first select the chart by clicking on it once.
- Once selected, right click over the chart to bring up the context menu.
- Next, look for the "Name Object..." option and click on it.
- The name object window should appear.
- Now, in this field type in the name you want for the chart.
- Afterwards, click on OK.
- Good! Now, look for the navigator icon here, so that we can check if we named the chart correctly.
- Just click on the compass icon. This is the navigator button.
- Once the navigator window opens, look for the chart under "OLE Objects."
- Great! The chart's name has been placed here.
- Afterwards, just close the navigator window by clicking on this "X" or close button.
- Congratulations! You have learned how to insert an object name for a chart.
