How-To: Insert name reference - OpenOffice.org Calc
- It is possible to put a custom name reference to a cell.
- To do this, first click on the cell you want to put the name reference to.
- Good. As you can see that cell's reference name is currently at the default "column and row" name format. You can check it here at the name box.
- Next, click here on "Insert"
- Then, on the menu that opens move your mouse over "Names"
- A side menu should appear. Click on the option "Define..."
- The "define names" window opens.
- Now, click once here on the name field.
- Next, just type in the name reference you want for the cell.
- Afterwards, just press OK.
- Great! We have defined this cell's reference name.
- You can check the new reference name by clicking on the cell...
- ...and then looking at the name box here.
- Congratulations! You have learned how to insert a name reference.
