How-To: Open Google spreadsheets - OpenOffice.org Calc
- It is possible to open a google spreadsheet using OpenOffice.org
- To do this, first use your browser to navigate to the published google spreadsheet.
- Once your spreadsheet is open in your browser, click once on the address bar here. Now, press Control and "A" (Ctrl+A) to select the URL and then press Control and "C" (Ctrl+C) to copy it.
- Now, open OpenOffice Calc and go to the Open Dialogue window.
- Click once on the filename field and press Control and "V" (Ctrl+V) to paste the spreadsheet address here.
- Great! We have pasted the URL.
- Now, use the arrow keys to move to the end of the URL and type in "&output=ods" without the quotation marks
- Afterwards, just click on "Open"
- Great! The google spreadsheet has now been opened.
- Notice that the other sheets in the spreadsheet are available as well.
