How-To: Save a drawing as a OpenDocument drawing - OpenOffice.org Draw
  1. To save a drawing in the Open Document Drawing format or an ".odg" file, first click here on "File."
  2. Then, on the menu that drops down, click on the option "Save As..."
  3. Once the "save as" window opens, look for the "Save as type" field and click on its down arrow here.
  4. A list of file types should drop down. Look for the option "OpenDocument Drawing (.odg)" and click on it once.
  5. Next, if you want to set a different file name, just click on this field and type in the name you want.
  6. Afterwards, click on the "save" button here.
  7. Great! We have saved this drawing in the OpenDocument Drawing file format. Congratulations!
