Application Window

The Application Window is the rectangular area where all the buttons, functions and work areas are located in. In more technical terms it is where the graphical user interface (GUI) of an application is contained and where the user inputs his/her for the application and receive the results.

Application Windows can be re-sized, moved, minimized or maximized depending on the user's preference. This is usually done using the mouse.

Office suites like OpenOffice.org may have subordinate inside the application to differentiate the different documents within an application.
