Application Window
The Application Window is the rectangular area where all the application's
buttons, functions and work areas are located in. In more technical terms it is where
the graphical user interface (GUI) of an application is contained and where the
user inputs his/her
action
for the application
and receive the results.
Application Windows can be re-sized, moved, minimized or maximized depending on the user's preference. This is usually done using the mouse.
Office suites like OpenOffice.org may have subordinate
document windows
inside the application to differentiate the different documents within an application.
