AutoRecovery

AutoRecovery is a special feature in OpenOffice.org that automatically saves the document you are working on in a set interval of time. By doing this action OpenOffice.org ensures that when your session is interrupted (such as the case with a power failure for example) part of your work will be saved and "automatically recovered" once you open OpenOffice again. Because of this feature, important data can still be preserved and precious time is saved by not having to write the whole document again.

By default OpenOffice.org saves a document every 15 minutes. This can be adjusted however via the OpenOffice window.
