Name Cell Reference
A name cell reference is an absolute cell reference
that has been given a customized name. This kind of cell reference
does not change when copied unto other cells, unlike relative cell references.
Also, unlike relative and absolute cell references, descriptive text can be used as its form unlike the column letter and row number format (A1, B2)
which are usually used.
These named cell references are used primarilly to easily identify a cell with a value that is often used in the formula of the spreadsheet. This would typically represent a constant value like the rate of increase/decrease of the data being calculated.
OpenOffice Calc has features that let you define, insert and change these references to fit specific tasks.
