Control Drop
A control-drop is an action
made when using a computer. It is done by
pressing the control key (Ctrl)
on the keyboard
and then using the mouse
or arrow keys to direct an action towards an item found
in the computer.
Usually a control drop is used when you need to select specific items in the computer
that are not adjacent to each other. It is unlike the shift-drop,
which used in selecting a broader array of items. When using the control-drop method
for example, in tandem with the mouse, one can select all the non-adjacent items
he/she needs safely without selecting any of the others. You can also de-select items
in this way.
OpenOffice.org applications
support the control-drop process. It can be used
to select or des-elect text, cells, graphics and other elements in most document types.
