Greek Character
Greek characters are part of the greek alphabet which is a set of 24 characters used to
write the greek language since its rise in use 9th or early 8th century BC. It has become
a basis for other alphabets
since, and is still in use today.
Today, greek characters are used in many functions not just as an alphabet but as symbols. In Mathematics and other sciences, greek characters have been used as a symbols for mathematical constants or variables, as well as representations of certain concepts. Common examples include the "pi" symbol (Π) which is a mathematical constant and the "omega" symbol (Ω) which is used in engineering (refered to as "ohms").
