Mouse Cursor
A mouse cursor or a mouse pointer is an object in a computer screen that is controlled
by a device known as a mouse.
When you move the
device, the mouse cursor moves in tandem with that movement. Together with the
mouse button
the mouse cursor is used
to interact with the graphical user interface in a computer.
The mouse cursor normally appears to be an arrow, and depending on the operating system, theme, and software you are running the arrow might appear differently. Mouse cursors can also change in appearance depending on the context on a screen. It might turn into a text cursor when placed above a field, or it might be seen as an hour glass when the computer is busy.
A lot of simple and easy tasks in OpenOffice.org is done by using the mouse cursor.
