NeoOffice
NeoOffice is a port OpenOffice.org
for Mac OS X that fully supports the
Aqua user interface.
The general version of OpenOffice.org for Mac OS X requires an X Window extension that does use it's own look and feel for user interactions.
NeoOffice is an office suite, including a
applications for word processing

presentations
,
vector graphics
,
formula editing
,
spreadsheet calculations
, and
databases
.
It is available for Mac OS X only.
NeoOffice is the very same functional code that OpenOffice.org provides. The only difference is that it is still in beta stage of the development and that its user interface works (as far as implemented) according to the standards set by Apple for Mac OS X.
Various versions of NeoOffice have been released:
- NeoOffice 2.1 Aqua Beta was released March 27, 2007 and is based on
OpenOffice.org release 2.1

is a commercial
product by Sun Microsystems based on StarOffice,
adding commercial components such as additional fonts and improved spell checking
dictionaries. -
OpenOffice Novell Edition
is open source version and maintained by Novell. It add new
components that are developed by Novell Inc. and donated back to the full project,
but haven't made it yet back into the general code base.
Using NeoOffice
As a close cousin of OpenOffie.org, you can use most of the
screencasts
in Plan-B for OpenOffice.org
as well. However, due to the nature of the different user interface , you
might have to search for certain menu items
in different places and some dialogs
can look different.
