Product (Mathematics)
The product in mathematics, is the result of a multiplication operation. Illustrated mathematically, in the equation 2 x 5 = 10, the numbers two and five are factors, while the number 10 is the product.
When a series of factors are multiplied, the product operator for the product of that series
is denoted by the capital greek character "pi" (∏). This is similar to the use of the
"sigma" (∑) character in a Summation.
You can write multiplication expressions, and insert the product/ ∏ symbol or
other multiplication operators using OpenOffice.org Math.
