Slide
A slide in OpenOffice.org refers to the primary medium that is being worked upon
by presentation applications such as Impress.
Slides can be basically considered as a page where in media like text, graphics, videos and sound
all combine to convey a visual report. A collection of slides is called a presentation.
Slides are the very foundation of the presentation. Each slide within the presentation has its own uses. The first few slides of a presentation will often be titles and introductions, while most other slides contain the important key points a person needs when presenting a report. Besides text other media like pictures, videos and music can be added to a slide to enhance the look of the slide and in effect the report being conveyed as well.
