Table Relations

The data in tables can be connected or related in some way depending on their fields. In instances where one field is present in two or more tables, or if two fields from different tables are directly related to one another it is a good idea to establish table relationships between them, especially when they are

In database tables, connecting different tables with related fields can be very useful when analyzing and cross-referencing data. For example one can use the name field in different tables, and connect all those fields so that you know that the names are related and show t he same data for identification across the tables.

OpenOffice.org has the table relations feature that let you set the different connections of fields between different tables. It shows this graphically making it easier to see them.
