Typeface style
A "typeface style" is a variation of a typeface,
such as italic
or
bold
.
Similar typefaces, that vary only in style but have common design principles,
form up the faces of a type family.
The four basic computer styles are Roman (or regular)
,
bold, italic, and bold italic
.
A typeface in a particular style variant and size is called a
font
. However, in the context
of computers, font is usually used synonym for typeface.
