Variable

A Variable in a formula is a symbol that represents a value that is either unknown or varies depending on its condition.

In mathematical formulas for example, the symbols "x" and "y" are usually used to represent a variable quantity.

You can format and add variables in formulas when you use OpenOffice.org Math.
