How-To: Align an object on to guide lines - OpenOffice.org Impress
- To align an object on to guide lines, first move your mouse over the object and then click and hold the left mouse button.
- Then, while holding the button, move your mouse towards the guide lines. This should drag the object with your mouse.
- An outline of the object should appear to guide you in moving it.
- Once the outline is near the guide line you should see them "snap" or align automatically. Just release the mouse button when this happens.
- Great! We have aligned the rectangle to the guide line. You can do this to all objects in a presentation.
- We'll repeat the process with this circle. Just click and hold the left mouse button on it, and drag its outline toward the guide line.
- Once they align, release the mouse button.
- Congratulations! You have learned how to align objects to guide lines.
