How-To: Decrease the indent of an outline item - OpenOffice.org Impress
- To decrease the indent of an item in an outline, first click on the text block where the item you want to edit is located.
- Now, move your mouse to the bullet symbol in front of the text to select it.
- Good it is selected. Now to decrease the indent of the item, press and hold on the shift key on the keyboard and then press the tab key once.
- Great! As you can see the item's indent has decreased. Also it has been "promoted" to a higher level in the outline.
- Now, release the shift key once you're done. If however you still want to decrease the indent even further, just press the tab key again until you are satisfied. Release the tab and shift keys once you're done.
- Congratulations! You have learned how decrease the indent of an item in an outline.
