How-To: Insert a new slide from the slides pane - OpenOffice.org Impress
  1. To insert a new slide from the slides pane, first you must select a slide. This should determine the position of the new slide you will be inserting.
  2. In this example, we are choosing the second slide here. Just move your mouse over it and click on it once.
  3. Once selected, right click over it to view a menu.
  4. On the menu that opens, click on the option "New Slide."
  5. Great! Notice that the new slide has appeared below the slide we first selected. This will happen everytime you insert a new slide.
  6. Congratulations! You have learned how to insert a new slide from the slides pane.
