Snap objects to guide lines - OpenOffice.org Impress

How-To: Snap objects to guide lines - OpenOffice.org Impress
  1. To snap or align objects to the guide line, you must enable the "Snap to Guides" option. Do this by first clicking here on "View."
  2. Then, on the menu that opens, move your mouse over the option "Guides."
  3. A side menu should appear. Now, look for the "Snap to Guides" option and click on it once.
  4. Great! The "Snap to Guides" option has been enabled. We can now align the objects to the guide lines automatically.
  5. Now, notice that If an object is dragged near a guide line, it will automatically align or "snap" itself to that guide line like so.
  6. This means that you don't have to be accurate in positioning an object to the guide line. As long as it is dragged near the line it will align itself.
  7. Congratulations! You have learned how to enable and use the "Snap to Guides" option.
