How-To: Snap objects to the grid - OpenOffice.org Impress
- To "snap" or align objects to the grid, you must enable the "Snap to Grid" option. Do this by first clicking here on "View."
- Then, on the menu that opens, move your mouse over the option "Grid."
- A side menu should open. Now, look for the "Snap to Grid" option and click on it once.
- Great! The snap to grid option has been enabled. Now objects should align automatically with the grid points.
- If we move this object by dragging it with the mouse...
- ...you should notice that it will automatically place itself in between the grid points once it is released.
- Basically, the object "snaps" into place with the grid like a puzzle piece into a slot.
