How-To: Start Application - OpenOffice.org Impress
  1. To start OpenOffice Impress, click on the Windows "Start" button.
  2. Select the "All Programs" item in the menu.
  3. Select "OpenOffice.org 2.0" in the sub menu.
  4. Select "OpenOffice.org Impress" from the sub menu.
  5. OpenOffice Impress starts with the "Presentation Wizard". In Step1., leave the "type" as is to create an "Empty presentation".
  6. Click the "Next" button to advance the "Presentation Wizard".
  7. In Step 2., customize various aspects of your slide design.
  8. Click the "Next" button to advance the presentation wizard.
  9. In Step 3., choose slide transition effects and transition timing parameters.
  10. Click the "Create" button to create the new presentation.
  11. This is the main OpenOffice Impress window with an empty presentation.
  12. In the "Slides" Window you see thumbnail images of the slides produced.
  13. In the main window you see the current slide in different views.
  14. In the "Tasks" window you see different panels with actions you can apply to the current slide.
  15. Click on the red "X" to close the application.
