  1. This screencast demonstrates how to disable the automatic capitalization of the first character in text.
  2. First notice, that when we enter some text...
  3. ...the first character is automatically capitalized.
  4. Now, to disable this feature, first click on "Tools."
  5. Then, on the menu that opens, click on the option "AutoCorrect..."
  6. The "AutoCorrect" window should appear. Next, click on the "Options" tab if it is not open yet.
  7. Look for the option "Capitalize first letter of every sentence." Uncheck it by clicking on its checkbox.
  8. Afterwards, click on "OK."
  9. Good! Now, if we enter some more lower case text...
  10. You should see that the first character was not automatically capitalized. Congratulations!
