- This screencast demonstrates the procedure on exporting documents as PDF files while selecting or adjusting the image compression settings.
- To do this, first click on the "File" option here.
- Then, on the menu that drops down click on the option "Export as PDF..."
- Once the PDF options window is open, under the "General" tab look for the "images" section here
- Here you can choose from the options "Lossless" and "Jpeg" compression. Just click on the choice you want.
- For this example, we are clicking on the option "Jpeg compression" so that we can adjust the quality of the images.
- Clicking on that choice enables the "quality" field here. Just click on the up or down arrows to increase or decrease the quality of the soon to be exported images.
- You can also adjust the image resolution by clicking on the checkbox marked "Reduce image resolution" and then...
- ...and then clicking on this down arrow to view the list of resolution options.
- Once the menu drops down choose the resolution value you want. For this example we are clicking on the option 150 dots per inch. (DPI)
- Once done, click on "Export."
- Great! We have exported the document as a PDF file with specific image quality and compression adjustments. Congratulations!
