How-To: Modify the line options for a graphic style - OpenOffice.org
  1. This screencast demonstrates the procedure on how to modify the line options for a graphic style.
  2. For this example, we are going to modify the "Arrow Line" graphics style. It has been applied to this line here.
  3. First, remember that you must have the "Styles and Formatting" window open to access the options window. You can do this by pressing "F11" on the keyboard.
  4. Now to start, right click over the style you want to modify. In this case we are right clicking on the style "Arrow Line."
  5. On the menu that opens, click on the option "Modify..."
  6. The options window for the graphics style should open.
  7. Now, click on the tab marked "Line" to view the line options.
  8. Good! We can now edit the line properties from this tab. For this example we are going to change a few options.
  9. First we will change the line color. Just click on this down arrow here and click on the color you want for the line.
  10. Next, we shall increase the width of the line by clicking on this field and typing in the value of the width we want.
  11. Notice that a preview of the changes we are making appear here.
  12. Now we're going to change the arrow style. Just click on the down arrow for this field here.
  13. When the menu that drops down, click on the arrow style that you want to use.
  14. Next, lets do the same for the other side of the line. Just click on this down arrow.
  15. Then, once the menu drops down, click on the arrow style you want for this side of the line.
  16. When you've finished making your modifications, just click on "OK."
  17. Great! As you can see, the object with the graphic style we modified has changed to match what we did. Congratulations!
