How-To: Use the fill format mode to assign a style - OpenOffice.org
- To use the fill format mode, first remember to open the styles and formatting window. You can do this quickly by pressing "F11" on the keyboard.
- Now, click once on the style you want to use as a "fill." In this example we have clicked on the style "Text body indent."
- Next, move your mouse here, this is the "Fill Format Mode" button. Just click on it once.
- The mouse cursor should change into a paintbucket. Now, simply click on the text or paragraph that you want to format.
- Great! As you can see the text we clicked on was immediately assigned with the style we selected. If you need to format more paragraphs or lines, just click on them as well.
- Congratulations! You have learned how to use the fill format mode.
