How-To: Save a formula as a math markup language file (.mml) - OpenOffice.org Math
  1. To save a formula as a math markup language file or as a "mml" file, first click on the "File" option here.
  2. Then, on the menu that opens, click on the option "Save As..."
  3. Once the "save as" window appears, click on this down arrow here for the "Save as type" field.
  4. You should see a list of file types to choose from. Click on the option "MathML 1.01 (.mml)"
  5. Next, if you want to change the file name for the file you are about to create, click on this field here and type in the name you want. Otherwise...
  6. ...Click on the "Save" button here.
  7. A warning may appear telling you that some formatting and content cannot be saved in the format you chose. To save our file as a math markup language file however, we have to click on "Yes."
  8. Great! We have saved the formula as a math markup language file. Congratulations!
