How-To: Enter a sine function - OpenOffice.org Math
  1. To enter a "sine" function, first click on the "math commands window" here.
  2. Next, once the cursor appears, type in the word "sin."
  3. Then, type in the angle for the sine function. In this example we are going to use the variable "alpha."
  4. The markup for the greek character alpha is "%alpha." Just type it in enclosed in a parenthesis like this.
  5. Great! We have entered the sine function. Congratulations!
