Colors

Allows you to select a color from a color table, edit an existing color, or define new colors.

Color table

Name

Specifies the name of a selected color. You can also type a name in this field when defining a new color.

Color

Contains a list of available colors. To select a color, choose one from the list.

Color table

To modify, select the color model: red-green-blue (RGB) or Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black (CMYK).

If you select RGB, the initials of the three colors will appear and you can set the color from 0 to 255 with the spin button.

If you select CMYK, the initials of the four colors will appear and you can set the color from 0 to 255 with the spin button.

Preview Field

Displays a preview of the current selection.

Add

Adds a new color.

Modify

Changes the current color. Note that the color is overwritten without a confirmation.

Edit

Allows you to define your own colors using the two-dimensional graphic and numerical gradient chart.

Delete

Deletes the selected element or elements after confirmation.

Load Color List

Accesses the Open dialog, which allows you to select a color palette.

Save Color List

Opens the Save As dialog, which enables you to save the current color table under a specified name. If you do not choose this command, the current color table will be automatically saved as default and re-loaded the next time you start OpenOffice.org.

The Load color list and Save color list icons are visible only if you select the Colors tab with the Format - Area command.
