How-To: Assign Paragraph Styles - OpenOffice.org Writer
- Groups of texts like paragraphs can be easilly formatted to a certain style.
- To do this, first click on the paragraph you want to format. The blinking cursor should be within your paragraph for it to be selected.
- Now, go to the formatting toolbar, then look for the Styles menu here.
- Just click on this down arrow to see more style options.
- You will see different style options. As an example we will format the paragraph with the "Heading" style.
- Just click once on "Heading" to change the paragraph's style.
- Notice how the font style and the font size has changed to match the style that was chosen.
- Of course this paragraph isn't a heading so we shall format it again.
- Click on the styles menu again.
- Then click on "Text Body."
- Great! You have changed this paragraph's style as a "Text body" as it should be.
- Now you know how to change paragraph styles.
