How-To: Change the Font of selected texts. - OpenOffice.org Writer
  1. To change the font of a particular set of text, first you must select them.
  2. To do this, click and hold the left mouse button on one end of the text. Hold the button as you move through the text you want selected.
  3. As you can see the selected text gets highlighted as you move through them.
  4. Once you have selected the text you want, release the mouse button.
  5. Now go to the formatting toolbar and find the Fonts menu here.
  6. Click on this down-arrow to view the list of fonts.
  7. Now go through the list of fonts and choose the one you want.
  8. For our purposes we are using "Book Anitqua." Click on it once.
  9. The selected text's font has turned into "Book Antiqua."
  10. Great! You have learned to change fonts!
