- In this screencast, nonprinting characters like this one here, are shown to better illustrate the tabs and tab stops.
- Now, this screencast will teach you how to change the tab stop type of existing tab stops.
- To do this first click anywhere on the paragraph where the tab stops are.
- Now, move your mouse to the tab stop you want to change here on the ruler.
- Next, right click on the tab stop marker.
- A menu appears showing the different types of tab stops.
- For this example we are changing this "Left" tab stop to a "Right" tab stop. Just click on "Right" to change the type.
- Good! Notice that the text has moved so that the tab stop is on the RIGHT of it.
- Also, take note that the tab's distance here has shortened.
- Great! We have changed the tab stop. Now, let's change this one as well.
- Just, move your mouse to the tab stop marker and right click on it.
- In the menu that appears, click on the tab stop type you want.
- We will change this one to a "Center" type tab stop. Just click on it once.
- Great! As you can see the text "dolor" is now centered on the tab stop's location.
