  1. In this screencast, nonprinting characters like this one here, are shown to better illustrate the tabs and tab stops.
  2. Now, this screencast will teach you how to change the tab stop type of existing tab stops.
  3. To do this first click anywhere on the paragraph where the tab stops are.
  4. Now, move your mouse to the tab stop you want to change here on the ruler.
  5. Next, right click on the tab stop marker.
  6. A menu appears showing the different types of tab stops.
  7. For this example we are changing this "Left" tab stop to a "Right" tab stop. Just click on "Right" to change the type.
  8. Good! Notice that the text has moved so that the tab stop is on the RIGHT of it.
  9. Also, take note that the tab's distance here has shortened.
  10. Great! We have changed the tab stop. Now, let's change this one as well.
  11. Just, move your mouse to the tab stop marker and right click on it.
  12. In the menu that appears, click on the tab stop type you want.
  13. We will change this one to a "Center" type tab stop. Just click on it once.
  14. Great! As you can see the text "dolor" is now centered on the tab stop's location.
