How-To: OpenOffice Tutorial: Change Text Document Default Template
- To change the default template for text documents, click on the "File" menu.
- Select the "Templates" item from the menu.
- Select the "Organize..." item from the sub menu.
- The "Template Management" dialog appears.
- To open the node, double click on the "My Templates" category in the tree.
- Richt click on the template to show the context menu.
- Select the "Set As Default Template" item from the menu.
- To set the template and close the dialog, click on the "Close" button.
- To verify the effect, create a new document by clicking on the "New Document" button in the toolbar.
- OpenOffice.org created a new document based on the "ConficioLetter" template.
