Create an Agenda Template - OpenOffice.org Writer

How-To: Create an Agenda Template - OpenOffice.org Writer
  1. To create an Agenda Template, you can use the Agenda Wizard.
  2. To go to the Agenda Wizard, first click on "File."
  3. Then move your mouse to "Wizards."
  4. A side menu appears showing you the different available Wizards.
  5. Just click on "Agenda" to start the Wizard.
  6. The Agenda Wizard opens. Start creating your template by choosing the template's theme in this drop-down menu.
  7. This option is set to Blue since it is the default. Also it maybe the setting of the template that was saved during the last Wizard session.
  8. Once you're done choosing, click on next.
  9. Now, enter the information about your Agenda here, make sure that you enter information that can be used for future Agendas as well, since you are making a template. Click next to continue.
  10. Now, pick the headings that you want be included in your template. Click next to continue.
  11. Afterwards, select the names that should be included in your template. Click next to continue.
  12. Next, pick the Agenda Items that would be used in your template.
  13. If there are items you wish to remove from the previous Agenda that was saved, you can do so by first clicking on the Item you want removed.
  14. After that, just click on "Remove."
  15. Just continue removing or adding Agenda Items for the Template.
  16. Once you are satisfied click on next to continue.
  17. On the sixth and final step we can now save our template.
  18. You can name your template here. Just type in the name.
  19. As an example we are naming it "Board Meeting Agenda."
  20. Great! The template is ready for saving.
  21. However if you still want to customize your template, you can still do manual changes to it.
  22. Click this option to do manual changes to the template.
  23. Now, click finish.
  24. Just click yes to save your template for the Wizard. Don't worry you can save it again after you do the manual changes.
  25. The Wizard takes you back to the spreadsheet window.
  26. Now you can add manual changes to your template. For example if there are people who should always be at the meeting you can add their names already to the template.
  27. Just click on the field where they should be and type it in.
  28. Now, just check through the rest of your document if you want other things to be part of the template. You can change names and even add graphics such as company letterheads.
  29. When you are finished, to save your work as a template go to "File."
  30. Click on "Save As"
  31. In the "Save as Type" field choose "OpenDocument Text Template or "ott."
  32. Then just enter the filename you want for your Agenda Template
  33. Then just click on save.
  34. GREAT! You now have an Agenda Template
