How-To: Export a Text Document as PDF with notes - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To export a text document as a PDf along with its notes, first click here on "File."
- Then, on the menu that drops down, click on the option "Export as PDF..."
- The PDF options window should open.
- Under the "General" tab, look for the "Export notes" option here.
- Click on the checkbox once to include the notes when the document is exported.
- Afterwards, click on the "Export" button here.
- The export window should open. Choose the location for the PDF file and then type in the filename you want.
- Afterwards, click on "Save."
- Now, let's take a look at the file we exported.
- Once the new PDF file is open, you should notice that the notes appear like this. Moving your mouse over the small message icon should cause a small helptip to appear with the note on it.
- Alternatively, you can double click on the message icon to see the contents of the note.
- The note should appear like this.
- To close it, just click on the "X" or close button here.
