How-To: OpenOffice Tutorial: Find Text Fragments Backwards
- This example starts somewhere in the middle of the text document.
- To find a word or text fragment backwards, click on the "Edit" menu.
- Select the "Find & Replace" menu item.
- The "Find & Replace" dialog appears.
- Click in the "Search for" field.
- Type the word or text fragment to search for.
- To show more options, click on the "More Options" button.
- To reverse the search direction, check the "Backwards" check mark.
- Click on the "Find" button to execute the "Find" action.
- Writer found the first occurrence of the text fragment towards the beginning of the document.
- Click the "Find" button a few more times.
- See how the higlighted text advances toward the beginning of the text document.
