How-To: Find Tablulator in Text Document - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To find a tablulator in a document, click on the "Edit" menu.
- Select the "Find & Replace..." item from the menu.
- The "Find & Replace" dialog appears.
- To search for a special character like tabulator, you need to use regular expressions. Click on the "More Options" button to extend the dialog.
- Check the "Regular expression" checkmark.
- Clcik in the "Search for" field and type "\t" as a placeholder for the tabulator character.
- To start the search, click the "Find" button.
- Notice that the first occurence of a tabulator character is highlighted in the table of contents.
- To advance to the next occurence, click in the "Find" button again.
- To end the search, click on the "Close" button.
