How-To: Format Compact List - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To remove the spacing between list items, select all items but the last.
- Make the selection by clicking into the first item's text and dragging somewhere in the next to last item.
- Notice that the start and end of the selection can be anywhere within the item. The selection does not have to start at the first haracter nor must it end at the last.
- To remove the spacing between items, click on the "Format" menu.
- Select the "Paragraph..." item from the menu.
- The "Paragraph" dialog appears.
- Navigate to the "Indents & Spacing" tab.
- In the "Spacing" section, set the "Below paragraph" field to zero.
- To accept the changes, click the "OK" button.
- Notice that the spacing between the list items disappeared
- Notice also that the last item of the list has retained its spacing, because it was not part of the selection.
