How-To: Format Space Below a Paragraph. - OpenOffice.org Writer
  1. To increase/decrease the spacing below a paragraph, you must first select it.
  2. Do this by simply clicking anywhere on the paragraph.
  3. Next, click here on "Format."
  4. On the menu that opens, click on "Paragraph..."
  5. The paragraph dialog window should pop up. Click on the "Indents and Spacing" tab here if it is not already open.
  6. Now, look for the "Below paragraph" option here.
  7. Directly across it you will see a numbered field, indicating the amount of space below the paragraph.
  8. Click on these arrows to increase/decrease the value of the space.
  9. For our example we have increased the space to 0.28"
  10. Once you're done click on OK.
  11. Notice that the space below this paragraph has now increased.
