  1. For this screencast, please take note that the nonprinting characters are shown to clearly illustrate the tabs and tab stops.
  2. To insert a new tab stop, first click on the paragraph where you want to put the stop.
  3. Next, move to the ruler and choose the position of your new tab stop.
  4. Now, just click once on the ruler to place the new tab stop.
  5. Good! Notice that this tab has increased it's length to match the new tab stop.
  6. Also, you will see that all the "default tab stops" to the left of the new stop have disappeared.
  7. On the right of it however, the default tab stops are still present and should be still in effect.
  8. Great! You have learned to insert new tab stops using the ruler.
