How-To: OpenOffice Tutorial: Insert a New Tab Stop.
- For this screencast, please take note that the nonprinting characters are shown to clearly illustrate the tabs and tab stops.
- To insert a new tab stop, first click on the paragraph where you want to put the stop.
- Next, move to the ruler and choose the position of your new tab stop.
- Now, just click once on the ruler to place the new tab stop.
- Good! Notice that this tab has increased it's length to match the new tab stop.
- Also, you will see that all the "default tab stops" to the left of the new stop have disappeared.
- On the right of it however, the default tab stops are still present and should be still in effect.
- Great! You have learned to insert new tab stops using the ruler.
