How-To: OpenOffice Tutorial: Insert Page Number
  1. Scroll down to insert the page number into the footer.
  2. Position the cursor into the footer.
  3. Set the paragraph format to "Align Right".
  4. To insert the "Page Number" field at the cursor position, click on the "Insert" menu.
  5. Select the "Fields" item from the menu.
  6. Select the "Page Number" item from the sub menu.
  7. Notice the "1" with the gray background. This is the page number field.
  8. Scroll down to the next page to verify the number changes with each page.
  9. Notice the page number field on the following page. As expected, it shows a "2".
