How-To: Open a document in rich text format using the toolbar - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To open a document in rich text format using the toolbar, first look for the button with a folder icon here.
- This is the "Open" button. Click on it once.
- The "Open" window should appear. To find the files we need easier, click here on the down arrow of the "Files of type" field.
- A list of file types should appear. Look for the option "Rich Text Format (*.rtf) and click on it once.
- Now, you should only see the documents in rich text format. Click once on the document you need, to select it.
- Afterwards, click on "Open."
- Great! We have opened the document in rich text format. Congratulations!
