How-To: Open Text Document using Toolbar - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To open a text document using the toolbar, click on the folder icon in the "standard" toolbar.
- The "Open" dialog appears.
- Navigate to the desired folder using the "Look in:" drop down list.
- Select the file you want to open.
- Click the "Open" button to finish the dialog.
- Watch the progess of loading the document in the "status" bar.
- The text document is opened and ready for editing.
