How-To: Using the Navigator. - OpenOffice.org Writer
- Writer has a feature that quickly lets you navigate through the content of your document, as well as move some of its components.
- This feature is called the "Navigator" and you can find it here.
- Just click once here on the "Navigator" icon.
- The Navigator window should open.
- Here you will find a list of the different parts and objects that are present in your document.
- You can use this list to quickly navigate to those parts.
- For example, if you want to quickly go to a particular heading's position first double-click on "headings" here to see the headings present in your document.
- Now look through the list and try to find the heading you want to see.
- For this example we are going to quickly navigate to the heading "Phasellus quis" position.
- Just double click on it.
- You will notice that the view has moved to the heading you just chose.
- We will try again with this heading. Just double click on it.
- Great you have moved the view to the heading "Aliquam."
- Congratulations! You have learned how to navigate quickly using the Navigator.
