How-To: OpenOffice Tutorial: Reset Text Document Default Template
- To reset the default template for text documents to the build in default, click on the "File" menu.
- Select the "templates" item from the menu.
- Select the "Organize ..." item from the sub menu.
- The "Template Management" dialog appears.
- Right click on the "My Templates" node in the tree to show the context menu.
- Select the "Reset Default Template" item from the context menu.
- Select the "Text Document" item from the sub menu.
- To reset the template and close the dialog, click on the "Close" button.
- To verify the effect, create a new document by clicking on the "New Document" button in the toolbar.
- OpenOffice.org created a new document based on the build in default template for text documents.
