How-To: Save Text Document under a different name (Save As...) - OpenOffice.org Writer
- To Save a copy of your document under a new name, click on the "File" menu.
- Select the "Save As..." item from the menu.
- The "Save As" dialog appears.
- Click in the "File name: " field.
- Type the new filename.
- Click on the "Save" button to finish the dialog.
- Watch the progress of saving the document in the "Status" bar.
- Remember that from now on you are working on a new copy of the document.
